Dr. Kannan Govindan is the head of Institute of Technology and Innovation and professor of Operations & Supply Chain Management at University of Southern Denmark. He is also the editor-in-chief of International Journal of Business Performance and Supply Chain Modelling and International Journal of Advanced Operations Management and has published more than 150 papers in international journals.

The increasing consciousness from customers and the emergence of stricter environmental regulations on sustainable developments are one of the key factors for organizations to involve with sustainable practices. This lecture aims to offer a better understanding on the field of sustainable procurement’s drivers, barriers and practices.
